Meet a real Saint - Lou Kertesz. Lou was the star running back for Avella High School in 1965 and played with both Jere and John. What a great reunion - all us 60 year olds!! Why is Lou a Saint? Because he took us out of the desert and nursed us back to health. As you can see, Carnie took to Lou instantly especially after he was fed a rare juicy steak.
Lou asked us to make ourselves at home and Carnie, Jere and Merle quickly helped themselves to the pool.
The Pool
The Backstroke
The Float
The Sun Bathers
Sadly, it was time to go and we found it very hard to pull Carnie away from Lou and the Pool. I think this type of life with a pool and fresh meat every day really appealed to Carnie.
So with tears in our eyes the Boys and Carnie said a last good-bye to Lou and headed back to the Mother Road to brave the freeway traffic of LA.
Thanks Lou - You are the best!
